LEARN ABOUT G'S ORCHARD
G's Orchard was started back in 2008 when the Gabrielse's built their house and moved in. (Little did the know what they were getting themselves into.) The Gabrielse's took over after purchasing part of the old Ritz Orchard and trying to do it themselves. They started taking out old trees and replacing them with some newer trees. And ever since it has been a cycle of taking out old or dead trees and planting newer ones. In the past few years G's Orchard has started moving away from the conventional free standing tree and has started planting trees on trellises. This allows the trees to produce more fruit without the worry of breaking from the weight because the trellis is there to support the tree. We at G's Orchard love to supply our community with the best fresh fruit we can. We also call ourselves More-ganic. You can read more about this down below.
What does it mean to be More-ganic?
We get asked if we are organic because some people prefer to by organic produce. To answer that we go by the term More-ganic. We cannot call ourselves organic because we do spray our trees to be able to produce great fruit, but we do not spray as much as a commercial orchard. The average commercial orchard sprays their trees with a lot of spray. We at G's Orchard think that is a bit too much so we try to spray only what we need to in order to protect the fruit.
